The Hufrehe Alarm App is a cutting-edge digital tool powered by advanced AI analysis. Horse owners can upload hoof photos, and the AI calculates the exact position of the coffin bone within the hoof capsule based on specific indicators. This allows for the precise documentation and classification of mechanical overloading.
Within the multi-factorial nature of laminitis, mechanics play a fundamental role. However, these mechanical issues are often missed or overlooked unless the eye is explicitly trained to spot them. Even professionals can make mistakes with the naked eye, as we are frequently dealing with deviations of just a few degrees. The app does the heavy lifting, providing an assessment of whether a potential overload exists. (Note: This tool is designed for early detection and tracking; it is not a substitute for a medical diagnosis by a veterinarian).
While the app is completely free for horse owners, professionals and service providers can secure premium visibility on our interactive GPS map through a paid listing. This connects you directly with dedicated, tech-savvy horse owners in your region searching for local experts!

To maintain a high standard of quality and ensure a consistent analysis and assessment framework within the app, our partners undergo a straightforward, digital onboarding process:
For Hoof Care Professionals (Mandatory Video Onboarding): Following your request, you will receive access to our exclusive onboarding videos. We will show you quickly and clearly what matters most when taking photos and interpreting the AI metrics in practice. This is done entirely via self-study and is required to unlock your profile and expert badge.
For All Other Providers (Optional): Veterinarians, therapists, or consultants are welcome to watch these videos on a voluntary basis. Upon completion, a special badge will be prominently displayed on your app profile for all users to see.
