Terms of Use
1. Scope and Provider
These Terms of Use apply to the use of the "Hufrehe-Alarm" (Laminitis Alarm) App (hereinafter referred to as the "Platform"). These terms supplement the terms and conditions of the respective App Store providers.
2. Nature of Services
The App provides AI-supported analysis of hoof images to support hoof health. It offers informational content, an interactive map of partners, and a community forum.
4. IMPORTANT: No Medical Diagnosis (Medical Disclaimer)
NOTICE: The Hufrehe-Alarm App exclusively analyzes the mechanical load and hoof shape. This represents only one partial risk factor in the development of laminitis.
- The App does not evaluate metabolic, nutritional, or management-related risk factors.
- The analysis provided is for informational purposes only and does not constitute a medical diagnosis.
- The App is NOT a substitute for professional veterinary examination, diagnosis, or treatment by a licensed veterinarian or hoof specialist.
- Never disregard professional veterinary advice or delay seeking it because of information provided by the App.
9. Limitation of Liability
Our liability for damages shall be governed by the following provisions:
- We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, as well as for damages resulting from injury to life, body, or health.
- In cases of slight negligence, we shall only be liable for the breach of a material contractual obligation (cardinal obligation). In such cases, liability is limited to the damage typically foreseeable at the time of concluding the contract.
- To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the AI analysis.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. If the user is a consumer, this choice of law shall only apply to the extent that it does not deprive the user of the protection afforded by mandatory provisions of the laws of the country in which the user has their habitual residence.
